➡️ Intelligent Collision Avoidance System for Baggage Tractors In the high-stakes environment of airport ground operations, ensuring safety and efficiency is paramount. The Collision Avoidance and Alert System (CAAS) is designed to enhance situational awareness for baggage tractor operators, significantly reducing the risk of collisions with other tractors, dollies, and various obstacles.
➡️ Boosting Safety and Operational Efficiency CAAS employs real-time obstacle detection and predictive algorithms to continuously monitor the surroundings. This advanced system assesses potential risks, helping to minimize operational disruptions, lower repair costs, and enhance overall safety in baggage transport operations.
➡️ Progressive Alerts for Enhanced Operator Awareness The CAAS system provides escalating warnings to ensure operators can react promptly to potential hazards: 🟡 Early Warning: Slow beeping and a yellow visual alert signal a potential collision with nearby obstacles. 🔴 Proximity Alert: Increased beeping frequency and a red warning signal indicate an imminent collision.
➡️ Customizable to Meet Operational Needs Operators can adjust the alert sensitivity of CAAS to suit specific airport conditions. The system is compatible with JET, JST, and JCT models from TLD, allowing seamless integration into existing fleets and ensuring improved safety across various ground handling scenarios.
➡️ Easy Integration and Retrofit Compatibility CAAS retrofit kits are designed for both new and existing vehicles, offering a straightforward and cost-effective safety upgrade without the need for fleet replacement.
TLD is proud to be assisting our friends at dnata & Dubai Airports with their commitment to a Leaner & Greener aviation industry. Today, 9.4% of #dnata’s fleet at #DubaiAirports is electric or hybrid vehicles, saving 4,725 tonnes of CO2 every year! ?
For a greener journey ahead, Dubai Airports is looking to expand charging stations for electric fleets and collaborate on innovative solutions to further reduce emissions.
TLD is pleased to announce its attendance at the 15th Asian Ground Handling International Conference being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The TLD team will be present on booth E26 to discuss the latest GSE and technologies to assist your operation in becoming Leaner & Greener.
The conference runs from 5th to 6th March at KLCC and will be a popular start to the TLD 2024 exhibition campaign. We look forward to welcoming you to the booth.
During the 3-day event, several interactive conference sessions were held to discuss today’s important GSE and general aviation topics.
TLD Group Chief Executive Officer, Valentin Schmitt, took part in the ‘Defining The Future of GSE’ session, in partnership with the GSE Podcast’s Matt Weitzel, which will be broadcast around the world as a dedicated episode of the show
The session united industry stakeholders at GSPs, airlines, airports and manufacturers to debate innovation and the future of GSE. The session covered topics including a new era of autonomous vehicles as well as electric Vs hydrogen Vs hybrid Vs biofuel power sources for airport equipment.
The full session report will shortly be available on the GHI website.
